Out again last night to Yarm - not been out there for a while so it was good fun with J and C again and some of C's work colleagues. I have to say my drinking skills are very much out of practice and got drunk alarmingly quick on not very much at all. Ended up at the Cross Keys will 1am have a dance which was all good fun.

Fizzyfish

Went out with J and C last night to a semi-local pub (Rudd's Arms) to watch a live band called Fizzyfish and I gotta say they impressed me. The reminded me of Mullet from out in France earlier in the year and played the likes of franz ferdinand, keane, some beatles etc with a bit of a rock slant as well as some heavier stuff (which is not always my cup of tea)- they were very diverse and just as mad as mullett for all thouse who know who i am talking about, but they were good all the same.

Off out again with J, C and some others tonight to Yarm so another booze up no doubt.

The Weekend

Was a funny one - I started off the weekend on Friday with Prom/Party in the park which was great fun. It was in the grounds of Ripley Castle, near Harrogate and there were 9 of us altogether and it was great fun and a very very late night. You've all seen my entry about eurovision and yesterday was a Uni day really - I have a couple of assignments due in so working all hours to get them finished! However did manage a trip to the beach yesterday as it was such nice weather - still managed to get soaked but this was due to a rogue wave and an escape football lol typical huh!

Also been looking at investing in a pair of ski's this weekend so thanks to JP for your advice.

Have been battling with a sore throat all weekend so im hoping its just a throw back from burning candle at both ends as opposed to anything more sinister.

OMG - just popped back from next door to apologise profusely - anyone who knows me knows i hold a major monster party in aid of Eurovision - so imagine my horror sat next door drinking wine and its on!!! OMG sorry everyone god knows how that one escaped me this year but obviously other things on mind - that in mind how does anyone feel about a monster party next weekend - post eurovision - of course fancy dress! Any thoughts or any takers? I'll put feelers out in the non WWW crowd but maybe a goer? let me know your thoughts - also for theme this year generally its past eurovision but open to suggestions given the lateness and lets face it any excuse for a party really tee hee!

I just did the anaysis of my 360 degrees appraisal which i am doing as part of Continued Professional Development at Uni - here are some comments about me by my current work colleagues...

Well sooty back safe and sound with owner after an eventful few days and web site sorted - I've registered the domain name sootynicker.co.uk but need to find someone to host it - I made the fatal mistake of registering it with one company then deciding not to have it hosted with them so need to figure out how to transfer and FTP the pages etc and password the last one so any help gratefully received.

Went out for my regular jaunt with R on Friday - you may recall last time we went out (when my phone died) we managed to get in the wrong cinema and see part of a film before we realised! well this time we didnt get in the wrong cinema - we missed our showing altogether lol. We went to TGI Fridays for some food beforehand and got gassing so much by the time we got finished it was too late lol - typical. Anyway I went onto TGI Friday website to get the number to book a table and there was a £10 off voucher so i printed it out. So we got there confirmed we could use it and ordered our food. I ordered fajitas and when they came they came with sour cream, salsa and grated cheese????? I asked about this and they said they had ran out of guacamole which I was well cheesed (get the joke) off about, so when our waitress came back and asked if everything was ok we said yes apart from the guacamole - she apologised profusely saying I should have been told they had ran out and went off. A short time later she came back and said we can have the Fajitas for free since they were not served as they sould be but then 5 mins later brought me some guacamole! So I ended up with the dip and we got £23.99 off our bill - bargain the whole bill was under £20 and we had desert and that was all our booze too - cracking :)

Final Hours of Sooty

Well have decided Sooty will be returned tomorrow - Sooty nicker will have a note delivered in the morning ordering the owner to wear a red rose all day - Sooty will then be delivered to main reception with a note to say to be rang round for hand collection by M at 12 noon - its been great having him but frankly he eats too much and his cuddles to not satify me at all :)

I won't put correspondence on here today due to web site sorted just neet to get up and running so let you read on there but today was full off tense moments - not to mention out of the blue the vice president of the Dr's Mess ringing up - seems H has gone missing!!! (Dr's Mess President) seriously he didnt turn into work ater the weekend and has been missing shifts and no one knows where he has gone so everyone thinks Sootynicker has got him too - the vice preseident said they think he has been taken by aliens - he was kidding but does not know the sooty saga - how spooky is that!!!!

Could have been detrimental to sooty!

The big issue from the other day :) 

The second bit of ransom I want is 10 orange smarties by 12 noon tomorrow (medicine) - or the flu could get worse....

M = There will be 10 orange smarties by his bottle by 12 noon tomorrow and I
expect to have him safely back then. I do not like to see him in a red jumper and insist he come back in a blue one, he also needs the elastic band and chain loosening from around his neck in the meantime.

Sootynicker = you insist? i think you have lost the meaning of blackmail here - it is my demands which are to be met - not yours! I look forward to seeing the 10 orange smarties near sooty's bottle tomorrow - you will have one final quest following this before the bear is returned! Be warned failure to comply will result in a prolonged kidnapping and torture of the bear! The chain and elastic bands are around sooty's neck to prevent another attempted escape.

Sootynicker = You failed your task - but you at least put the print out from the web in his place... He has however caught flu so we got him a jumper to show we are not treating him bad...

Following the events of the weekend the following correspondence occurred today:

M = Sootynicker - I will not give in to your demands and I hope Sooty has not caught pneumonia from being on that wet grass or there will be trouble!
I await his safe return.

Sootynicker = He'll catch more than that if the big issue does not materialise!

M = Bring him in at 12 noon - I have tried to get a big Issue but the seller must have been on leave, have downloaded some interesting info. on this magazine which is waiting for you.

Sootynicker = send it to me via e-mail to proove it - he has the sniffles i may give him some clothes if you do

M = I can't as it is on my PC at home, you must come in at 12 noon to see it and bring him with you. Over and out as I have work to do! See you at 12 o'clock prompt.

Sootynicker = No can do - you may receive a bit of Sooty within the next day - or else!

M = Or else what? You need to come at 12 to see what I have got regarding the Big Issue. Over and out.

Looking after sooty very well but had a little trouble tonight - as seen above - e-mailed into work of course tee hee.

Kinda busy weekend really and decided at long last to invest in a digi cam since I spend a fortune on developing photo's so went for a Canon (same as my SLR) although gotta say I got a great deal on it and a free memory card!

Was supposed to be having an early night last night however have an unexpected visit which resulted in booze and a late night yet again so shattered today!

Sooty website is in the making and my website at a stand still this weekend but must get cracking with both.

Following my original blackmail e-mail here is the correspondence so far:

M – “I refuse to be blackmailed and am going to the police if you do not return him by 4.00 p.m. today.”

Sootynicker – “I don't think you are taking this seriously enough - I look forward to seeing the big issue at 12 noon on Monday - Don't worry he will be fine - The sooty depreciation society of sootynickers!”

M - “The police will be coming in on Monday if he is not back in his rightful place and I am not bluffing!” Signed - Sooty's owner

Sootynicker – “I look forward to the big issue.”

M – “You will have a long wait ....”

Sootynicker – “then so will you for his return - no more correspondence today - I look forward to the big issue on Monday.”

M – “We will see about that, please take good care of him over the weekend. By the way, that is not my Sooty, can I have proof you have taken him – he has black paws, not brown ones.”

E (Another colleague) – “Leave sooty alone you evil people!!!!!!!!!!!! what has he ever done to you?

Sootynicker – “it had better be there or else the bear gets it.”

Hostage...Day 1...Kidnapping Confirmed!

The hostage was left in the attic today pleading for some loo roll for his bear behind. This request was of course denied due to Pooh using it all up!

It was a breezy kinda day as I waltzed into the office cheerily saying good morning to all present. The first thing M said was “ok you can give him back now”. I stared blankly at her and said excuse me. “you know who I am talking” about she said as I turned away and hung up my coat. I have no idea I replied…. This went on for a bit and it transpired that Sooty had been kidnapped and a ransom e-mail received!! (tee hee) – I gotta say my acting was first class as I started to blame everyone else. The biggest compliment I got was it must be you it’s done so professionally (I was not falling for it though).

The plot thickened – M decided to write an e-mail back to the kidnappers (correspondence as follows). What finally convinced them it was not me was the fact that you can’t access private e-mail from within the hospital (or so they think!!!) and they were getting e-mails from an AOL account all day whilst I was present and hard working in my office (sneaky ain’t I). In the end the Dr’s Mess President H got involved as seen in the correspondence, he was a sneaky one sending an e-mail to the kidnappers, waiting for a reply and ringing the office straight away to see if I was there… of course I was so I am totally blameless now although a partner in crime has not been ruled out as yet!!

He was scared when we transported him to his secret hiding place!!!

M at work has a thing about Sooty and has a sooty hand puppet in the office which stands in for people when they are away - last weekend she bought him a badge which says "Do i look like i want a big issue?" (as in the magazine the homeless flog) - well tonight i decided to kidnap him - C another from the office thinks its a great laugh as M will be truly upset sooooooo.... I have created a new screen name on aol called sootynicker and sent an e-mail to the effect of:

"I have him
Do you think he looks scared?
He was when i transported him to the secret hiding place
Dont worry we'll take care of him over the weekend....
If you want him back buy a big issue at the weekend and put it where sooty sits!

Poorly Sick!

It all started with E falling out of bed last night - then temperature started at about 2am - so no sleep for me - then poorly tummy this morning so me and E have been curled up on the sofa all day trying to keep warm - feeling loads better now but since we both slept this afternoon it is now nearly 10pm and she is still awake!!! In bed but awake ha ha - ah well feeling much better :)

Devastated!

You may recall in an earlier blog that my phone died on me about a month ago - well miraculousy it has now been returned repaired (took a bloody month)! or a new inner bit i think they said, anyway I had transferred the sim card into my old phone so didn't really think anything of it until... Transferred it back into my phone only to find out that the pics I had saved on it have been deleted and some saved text messages - I am absolutely devasted - alright admittedly I should have bought the PC connector before now to transfer the pics onto my pc but I didn't get round to it :( I had on there in the main hol pics and pics of two people who are incredibly special to me and I am really sad I have lost the pics now with no chance of getting them back (unless anyone knows any different) - they held special memories for me, so this blog is really a warning to all out there if you have something special to you safeguard it with your life ...saying that I did go out and buy myself a new skirt today (yes a skirt don't faint) but still does not make up for the loss of stuff dear to you :(

Summer again wooo hooooo

Got up early this morning for some reason to a beautiful day so went out on my bike first thing before E got back from her dad's. She's back now which is good as I miss her when she goes away.

And today is glorious weather so in the garden I think and maybe a BBQ - so all welcome :)

Web site is coming along much better now so keep your eye's open i'll post it on here when up and running :) oh and don't expect anything too flash!!! remember my first attempt!

aaarrrggghhhhhhh! plea for help

Bloody web page - I tell you what Macromedia might be good for some things but not others. I'm trying to design my own website and found a real nice set of buttons I want to use - only problem is I can't seem to edit them to include my text? Maybe its just me I don't know. I ain't experienced on this at all so maybe i'm just being thick but I've tried everything so if anyone can lend a hand please feel free :)

For anyone who knows me you will know that some women have a passion for shoes and handbages etc - well not me - but I do only like decent perfume (not that I have hundreds of bottles I might add - in fact running out) - hence the reason I came across this website www.fragranceforyou.org.uk you basically do a questionnaire about your personality and they design a scent specifically for you. I've not tried it but I do find it incredibly irritating when everyone starts wearing the same perfume as me (flattering but irritating)- also a great gift idea if you are stuck for something different to buy someone as a present if you know them well enough (ie I'm thinking my mum here). Prices start at £10 oh and they do aftershaves too! Not sure what they are like but might be worth a whirl?
