Totally great few days...

Down in Wolverhampton visiting Ledbum before the jolly jaunt to the Alps for 3 months. Had a very lazy few days just chillin and having fun ;) - although did manage to move 1/2 ton of sand also!!!!! did get my car washed in return but who had the hardest job I ask???

Also got to meet the Ledbum clan (family and friends) all of whom are great however I will get my own back in the interrogation stakes in April!

The funniest part of the week has got to be Ledbum and JP tackling the snow chains - JP seemed to manage marginally better than Ledbum but I think the conclusion was one set it slightly easier to put on and take off than the other.

So now I'm waiting for my trip in Feb which I can't wait for not only for the snow but for catching up with those who will be missed :(

zzzzzzzzzzz

So much for my early night!

Finally finished wrapping the presents and remembered a present I should have bought just in the nick of time - in fact I rememebr forgetting it now due to E wanting to go to the loo at a most inappropriate time so tomorrow braving the shops yet again!

So as I said presents wrapped and crackers MADE!! I decided to ditch the mulled wine me and Ledbum made at the weekend due to the fear that I may end up in hospital if I attempted to drink it now! (there is mulled and then there is mulled) I was gonna finish it during the week but didnt feel like it after consuming copious amounts at the weekend.

Also had a call from my sis K tonight - me and mum and going to Dad's grave tomorrow to put a wreath on that I made and I thought mum had talked to my sister and mum thought I had hmmmmm so I got the call - were you gonna ask me if I wanted to go or not! hmmmm think I managed to wriggle out of that one just.

So now time for some well earned ZZZZZZZ's which my aim was orignially around 10pm ha ha don't make me laugh - at least its not 2pm which seems the norm at the mo resulting in about 4 hours sleep - not good! still all good fun ;)

christmas rush

Busy day today - in at work, then back home then off to try and find fishy a new big bowl for christmas - of course left it far to late and the one i want they won't have any more till new year so deluxe food is on the cards for christmas day for him. E came back from Nursery yesterday with a christmas stocking she had made really excited that you put it on the fire place and santa fills it with goodies so yet more purchases of the kiddie kind so not to dissapoint.

Another rather late but rather fun night again last night ;) - well they will be few and far between for the first part of the new year so might as well have an overdose of fun now to keep me going :)

Also gained more guests for Christmas Day which is turning out to be a real party - the more the merrier if anyone fancies joining or just popping in for drinks :)

Shopping Hell

I decided to d my shopping today for essentials for christmas thinking the shop would not be too bad during the day - oh how wrong was i - an hour later queing with ice cream hmmm and i got served - I could not believe how busy it was - amazingly the ice cream remained fine!

Another late night last night means ive been non compus mentus tonight again and i decided to bake my ham which i do every year - hence the reason I am still awake now - maybe not one of my better ideas but it did give me time wrap pressies which should have been done way before now.

Went to see J, K, K and E today (all be it a little late due to ASDA hell) which was nice as I've not seen them for a while so caught up on all the gossip.

I am on hols this week but as usual two meetings tomorrow morning yawn - ah well.

PS ham done and tastes lovely

Child Clamped to Leg!!!!

Fantastic Weekend Take Part Deux

:)

Followed by dodgy works do and copious amounts of alcohol (due to wine glass being refilled when not finished hence no concept of how much you have actually drunk!)resulting in very bad head this morning and a visit from K who i've not seen for over a year. All in all a good day today but top weekend ;)

new year new job

Well went into work today as i was called for a suitability interview!!! whatever that is - I was apparently sent the job description and only scanned it lol. So the first question was what did you think of the job discription lol I blagged it and turned the question round by saying i thought i had all the qualities they were looking for - she agreed and more apparently lol then she proceeded to go into the job desciption lol - blagged that one well and truly.

Anyway I start with the Division of Academia on the 4th Jan (extra day hols yay) - for those who dont know where I work had a massive PFI project which integrated 4 hospitals - 3 combined and one still 23 miles away - well the Division is having problems integrating so im going in to sort out the process side of stuff etc and get them brought up to speed in terms of technology (they still use snail mail). At least its a permanent contract and protected salary for 4 years and by then ill have moved on anyway.

So all those who i have bothered during the day - alas no longer as I am back in the hospital on the crap intranet - still bother you via e-mail no doubt lol.

All I have to decide is whether i want to be based in Middlesbrough or a rural market town which is slightly longer to get to - what do you reckon?

In Search Of Santa

Its official - santa's day off seems to be a Tuesday! It was my sisters little boys birthday today and she promised him santa... the search commenced lol. To every garden centre and shopping centre in the area and no santa - day off apparantly - luckily J is only two so not much harm done I think however very stressful for adults.

Getting in the christmas spirit here with it being my last week at work - yay just gotta get the christmas tunes out for the weekend and hopefully lots more fun this weekend ;)

Heard from a mate I've not heard from for a while last night which was fun especially as I had been spotted at Xscape so maybe a chat and coffee next time all being well and we actually recognise each other without the 10 min delay lol.

Had such a good time with webcams last night but decided i really out to get a remote cordless thingy to repay the compliment!!! hmmm maybe I should ask santa - if i can bloody find him

Sooooooooooooo Tired

Startong to think i'm old now!!!

Yesterday started off early with E waking with itchy bits from the Chicken Pox although is just about right now. Anyway we decided to go for a walk as it was such a nice day so out came my trug and seceteurs (dodgy spelling) and off we went up the hill. The holly has loads of berries on it this year so i cut loads of that and some evergreen and ivy for a truly country christmassy decoration. Then back home and made a wreath for next door and a door hanging for mine (decided not on the wreath this year to be different). Then with the rest i decorated the bannisters leading up the stairs and above the fire place (must remember to check it this year as when i took it down last year it was a little singed due to having the wood burning stove on hmmmm). All thats left is for the tree next weekend when E isnt here - thought it would be nive for her to come back too.

Anyway afternoon was cool, just house work then off round next door for a christmas dinner and pressies early due to them going to india for a hol over christmas. The night was as usual very drunken with good food and good company anthough after the wine flows so do the daft dare games hmmmmmm - I did what I had to to avoid the dodgy questions which was quite funny and didnt really mind my dares.

To day was a tiring one though after being slightly drunk last night - J's borthday party - don;t you just love kids.

I'm knackered now and need a long hot bath and cuddle lol - well i can at least get the bath lol.

See ya later x

Chicken Pox Take 2

Well E is definitely on the mend. She only woke three times last night and has abandoned the magic flannel and my pashmina - (for Ledbum - A pashmina is a very expensive cashmeer shawl) thank god so I've reclaimed it. Anyway I could'nt put her in nursery due to the dreaded CP so I arranged care for her at home which is not ideal when I work from home. So anyway the errr hmmm lovely care person left at three so i'm catching up now. So tomorrow a conference then shopping for a new brief case. Again de to lack of care for E im not at Uni but my tutor seems to think i'm doing fine by myself.

Anyway I love my new kitchen floor (at least its safe now) wooo hoooo - all ready for me to choose some nice rustic tiles to go with the house.

Anyway glass of wine at hand, ive been in the bath, im set for the night :)

Chicken Pox Take Two

E is definately on the mend. She only woke three times last night and has abandoned the magic flannel and my pashmina (for Ledbum - a Pashmina is a lovely big shawl thing made of cashmeer and very expensive) thank god so I've reclaimed it. I had to keep her at home today with at home care for her - working from homein this scenario is not a good one hence the reason I am here now catching up since the eerrr hmmmm nice care person (say no more) let me down and buggered off at about 3pm.

Anyway conference thing tomorrow then looking for a new brief case for me papers! No uni tomorrow due to E's care letting me down yet again! Good job my tutor thinks im fine doing it all by myself at home.

Anyway time for some work and maybe a chat later.

PS I got a glass of wine to assist of course :)

New Floor and Chicken Pox

Well after a fantastic weekend (even though my skiing was crap for the first hours until J sorted out my boots)i got my little girl back covered in spots - after self diagnosis and a trip to the Dr's it was confirmed Chicken Pox - not good for a two year old... Anyway she keeps telling everyone she is now a chicken and eveyone keeps looking at her and going errrrrr - luckily shes young enough not to realise but shes getting to that itchy stage now. However a stubborn two year old will not let me put calomine lotion on and will only have a cold flannel and my vey expensive pashmina as a cover hmmm. She is playing on it now though as i have been real busy today and i keep getting mummy can you change the channel, can i have blah blah blah.

But result in the floor stakes - all done and sorted and im so pleased.... now looking for tiles hmmmmm

COWS!!!

Busy day at work today but keeps me out of trouble.

Got my mate R coming round for a little tonight which will be good but early night i think.

SO tonight I was making tea and looked up to see a herd of stray cows on the paddock - at first I thought it was quite funny until I thought of the cow pats and decided not a good idea - it was at that point I heard a scream as R (next door)returned home - she unlike me was scared stiff and was not entertained by the idea at all. Anyway the farmer and Skelton Estate offices were called and as far as I know the cows are safe back in their field with their little calves (bless). Not ventured onto the paddock as its too dark but they had better have left my little tree alone!

Ah well all the fun of the country.
