Consultants - funny breed!

It was funny at work today - my colleague was trying to do a group e-mail to all consultants in the hospital trust and could not get it to send so I did a test (being the good samaritan i am)- So not expecting it to work i simply types test lol - it worked.... My e-mail automatically adds my name and number on the bottom so the e-mail read test fiona jones lol - so all afternoon i have been getting questions sent to me lol the funniest was as follows:

"Today I have received a very enigmatic email asking me to test Fiona Jones so can Fiona Jones please tell me what the capital of Kazakhstan is?" (Signed a very high up Consultant lol).

I of course responded "I do believe the capital of Kazakhstan is Almaty - have a good easter" lol I have yet to receive an answer.

weekend...

Was a busy one - did loads of decorating (sort of) around the house and finally just about stripped all the beams and sanded - I am now paying for it with all the upper section of my body aching which comes from holding a sander above your head for approximately one day whilst balancing at dodgy angles - at least when its done its done and the only bit I have left to do now is straighforward and easily accessible. Also got some painting done and clearing out done so success all round. So guest room nearly sorted then!

Got E back today - a little off colour with cough and all but sure she'll be fine.

Going round in circles with stuff with E at the mo which I would love to put on here but due to sensitive nature and people reading this best not guess I gotta figure out what to do myself!

Anyway sent a text to J the other day giving him an ear bashing for the lack of contact and no response so I've either pissed him off or he's permanently pissed (more like it i think as it wasnt that bad really).

Ahh well never mind.

PS bought the comic relief singles today - soooooooooo funny

The Weekend Yay

E went with her dad this weekend so I have decided once again to get cracking with the decorating - I'm sick on living in a state of decoration but I guess thats what I get when I buy and old house. First though I think I'll have a wander into to town so probably spend more money ha ha - seems to have been an expensive months with birthdays etc. Which incidentally reminds me it's B's next week so I need to find something suitibly horsy for a 10 yer old.

It J and J's last two weeks in Val coming up so no doubt they will be partying even harder - Ledbums been a bit quiet lately but I'm trying not to take it personal as I think its the norm state at the mo according to others but I am looking forward to seeing the guys when they get back.

Hmmm must get planning the next hols lol - a cottage somewhere nice i think - any suggestions for anywhere which won't break the bank?

Oh heard from D yesterday also who might be popping in on the 3rd April on route from Scotland back down south which should be fun - long time no see and all that.

Knackered!

Well its Sunday night and I am well and truly done in. It was E's birthday party on Saturday and I had hired this bouncy castle at a local leisure centre, only thing is when I got there on Saturday the one I saw last year had been replaced with a mega fantastic massive one with slides and everything - needless to say the kids could not manage by themselves so various adults - me included joined in the fun tee hee. The day ended with an evening out with S and E at a local Thai restaurant which I didn't even know existed while S and mate J looked after E, R and S. The meal was bloody gorgeous I have to say and well worth a visit next time I have anyone stopping.

Today was another busy day this time A's birthday so off up to my sisters for birthday fun there also. All good fun again but about 40 kids over the weekend is enough in itself.

Far too much alcohol consumed of course but all in all although incredibly busy and tiring a good weekend.

By the way........

Nice new Evo you lucky bugger - and oh can I borrow it for the weekend lol

The End.....

Bloody hell what am I going to do in the bath now???? I guess it'll be back to 30 mins baths as opposed to 2 hours and wrinckly old woman sydrome.

I stayed up incredibly late last night and nearly finished the book as it got a bit exciting in the end - managed all but the last chapter (due to contact lenses giving up and saying close your eyes now or we are walking out lol) so have just read the end in the bath tonight:) Turns out the book had a couple of twists in it which would normally be obvious i guess but did not realise until the last two chapters lol, needless to say happy ending though which is what I like and can only hope my life resembles that in some kind of way in the future lol.

So now its either short baths or find another book from some dark corner somewhere!

Got E back this morning full of herself and the attitude to go with it - seems to be the norm when she gets back from her dad's now but can't help being a bit lenient with her as it must be unsettling and confusing for her at times - she even threatened to put me on the naughty chair in the middle of the supermarket for shouting at her for being rude to me!!!!! yes she is only three (on Thursday anyway). She Generally is only like this for a day thank god.

so now a relax time with a glass of wine before my working week starts hmmm.

Sobbing Again....

Bloody book! You're on to a winner with me if you have children and anguish together in the same chapter - hence i've just spent two hours in the bath blubbing - my sister caught me half way through a blubber and although I have tried to convince her its just the book and me being a bit soft with this sort of thing(even read a bit of the book to her to convince her), she is now convinved I am distraught that I am spending my first morthers day parted from E (which has never happened before) - alright I was slightly pissed off but lets face it mothers day for god sake is just another day which has been commercialised to beyond belief!

On a brighter note and totally contradicting my rant about mothers day - I did spend a nice day with mine and can fully recommend Green's restaurant in Whitby for a throughly lovely meal (nice wine) in a nice atmosphere - all be it a bit pricey for every day but for a nice special meal great.

So no more reading tonight or I will be thoroughly depressed lol

New Home...

For Fishy - just to update you Fishy is doing absolutely fine but has outgrown his poxy little bowl immensely (this is the fish from the fair who should realistically have lasted days - if not a week). So anyway I went on the hunt for a new bowl today and doubled his living quarters - which means if E is so insistent on a mate for him we now have room.

Shopping spree went well today - the french market was good fun and I managed to get E's birthday present (barbie enchanted castle with all singing all dancing music stand for ken and barbie) - i know this will be a hit just wondering where im gonna put it now lol. Anyway also got A's birthday present and of course all the stuff for the party so all round good shopping days with reats for me of course also.

Tonights been a bit mixed though with me being stupid as usual - i think i gotta stop thinking so much and just have more fun - so sounds like a good idea - roll on April anyway.

Oh got a cool new kettle today - all singing all dancing with blue and red lights wooo hoooo (the reason for this purchase was due to the fact that i melted the old one with the iron - don't ask!).

Ah well too much to drink last night so nice cup of tea now and a hunt for some choccy to dunk i think.

Last of the Pumpkin Curry...

From halloween lol - well its all gone now and I did enjoy it only I agree with Ledbum it was monster portions lol.

E went to her dad's today which I'm a bit sad about with it being mothers dan and all but I have a busy weekend planned. Going birthday shopping for E tomorrow and just so happens there is a French Market on at Dalton Park so worth a look I think. Then Sunday taking my dear old mum to a well known restaurant which I can't believe I got booked in for morthers day at Whitby which should be nice.

As for tonight bottle of wine mmmmmmmmmm

Managed to get to pottery tonight after being absent for three weeks due to skiing, half term and lack of child care - so glad I did - My mates C and S were there and it always manages to cheers me up - plans are afoot for either a cocktails evening or a wine evening (which ever there will be copious amounts of alcohol) so if anyone fancies coming along let me know and we might even make it a big do!
