Eating rubbish - bed and dodgy TV

Why is it after a night out I always eat rubbish the next day? I even succummed to bed this afternoon for an hour tee hee until R from next door came round and asked if she could make cards in secret at mine as it seems everyone has the lurgy next door - she even made one for me becuase she said I looked a little under the weather tee hee. I think however the "Has E gots lots of sweeties in her sweetie jar" might have had something to do with it!

You may recall in an earlier blog that S from next door purchased a brand new Evo! Well apparently it had an annoying rattle so he sent it back to the manufacturers who said it was normal because it is in theory a race car - anyway not happy he has now puchased a Bently!!!! A very nice small sporty one I have to say so he now has a Bently and an Evo!! Alright for some - obviously R is pissed off as the Bently only has small seats in the back so no good for the school runs - hmmmmm intentional do you think?

So tonight I watched that TV programme Hit Me Baby One More Time - Shalamar where on and did a real good rendition of Hay Ya by Outcast - I don't usually vote on these things but I am very tempted - will keep you posted who wins!

As for stuff around the house - forget that today - looks like I know what I'm gonna be doing tomorrow!

Saturday...

And its bloody raining - typical huh :(

Oh and I'm a little hung over too - went into Guisborough last night for a Thai meal which was lovely except the taxi was late in both directions but as it turns out it didnt matter - It was one of those weird meals where the partcicular restaurant is generally heaving but last night wasn't and everyone in the restaurant bascially talked to each other accumulating in one big party which went on quite late. Not bad though and the food was superb as usual.

Pina Colada

Had to be done really - yesterday and today have been absolutely glorious weather wise and any one who knows where i live will fully appreciate that the style of living when its like this is outdoor!

S and R got R and S a new climbing frame which was delivered last weekend and I was conned into helping put it together - now when i say new climbing frame what I really mean is woodland adventure park (ie like the massive ones you generally get at stately home parks_ needless to say it didnt take long before we called in the recruits! But what a great excuse it was to have a massive BBQ. While the lads got on with their electric screw drivers we were busy making pina colada's home made beef burgers etc etc. I even made my famous tangy lemon frozen cheesecake - incidentally made two actually as I made too much ingredients - its one of those things where I don't have a recipe I just do it! so if anyone fancies trying any I have a huge one left in the freezer. Any way back to the lads - how many to change a lightbuld comes to mind! As is usual up here in the summer the evening ended with very loud music lots of pina colada, wine, tangle foot, speckled hen, G&T, Malt Whisky - you name it. And obviously some unexpected guests due to alcohol consumption. Great fun though.

Today again was communal living outside tee hee. S is still finsishing off the climbing frame as I speak (6 days altogether worked on it but it does look bloody good)and was funny watching the guys attempt to do it this morning with hang overs tee hee. Its one of those ones with two turrets, monkey bars, swing, slide, sand pit, climbing wall, bridge etc. And I tackled the lawn the cows decided to make uneven at the end of last year. I managed to get it all cut but bloody hard work. S helped me move E's wooden wendy house to its newly laid foundations and J gave me a hand yesterday taking down the shanty town (arbour) at the back of the house - have to say it makes a massive difference, I'm gonna make it into a real nice area out the back and get some nice furniture etc - nice for breakfast as that is where the sun rises. Great lunch outdoors with friends again. Oh and planted Ledbums pumpkin seeds with the kids which they loved - I know im late in planting them so may stick them in the propagator for a week to get them started!

Even got a visit from sis and kids as they wanted to see the guinnie pigs I was conned into looking after for the weekend from E's school! they are eating me out of house and home and make so much noise for little crettins!

I got macro mail through the post the other day and they have one of those massive trampolines in there for a great price - what do you reckon? I get a bonus this month do you think I should get one? I know the kids love them but to be honest I do too and most other adults I know :)

So the return of summer which is great roll on next weekend can't wait to get the swimming pool out again :)

The bubble burst and the weekend!

Well E was very good Monday and Tuesday at school no problem - then the bubble burst, I had it all on Wednesday and ended up the teacher telling me its best if I just leave - so walking out of school, back to the car and into work in floods of tears - kids really know how to pull the heart strings - it was the mummy don't leave me that go to me! It was much the same Thursday then Friday a tactic up my sleeve - a little girl resembling E's mate from her old nursery came to the rescue and I left them holding hands with no tears this time - but apprarently there were some when Auntie and Granny picked her up! Roll on next week oh fun.

I bumped into a mate at the weekend I've not seen for ages - turned out the company they work for supplies the little plastic tags what they use at xscape for fastening to ski lift pass to your jacket (small world) and they are also into snowboarding - so a visit to castleford was the order of the day (after not getting to bed till 4am hmmmm tiring day and not on form i have to say!)- the day was ok but missed being there with a certain someone and not half as fun - oh well maybe next time!

Its funny today - I feel like I just want to write my feelings down in one long blog but given the subject matter best not to really - the person who matters knows exactly how i feel so whats the point!

Ah well another weekend bites the dust and I am woking tomorrow - how did I manage that one?? I usually have Mondays off so thats gonne be fun - and up in Newcastle - oh joy!

First day at School

For E yesterday and boy was i glad I didn't have one of the screaming wailing ones - mine just looked at them as if to say what are they doing and ran off to play with the rest - It was me lost not her lol (rather that way i must admit).

So anyway she officially goes to school 5 mornings a week now and is officially loving it.

As for me - plodding on as usual - 3 down at work in an office of 7 so incredibly busy especially since i've been given the responsibility for designing and maintaining the interactive CD's and developing a new web site - oh joy - all on top of already busy job! fun fun fun

Roll on the weekend :)

Oooops

My head hurts today!!! I seriously did not drink that much yesterday but what with one thing and another i've not really eaten much the last week (just don't feel like it) and the wine went straight to my head last night - been a long time since I woke up and thought how the hell did I get into bed??

Anyway seriously R and T, I do appreciate your efforts to cheer me up but really don't worry I'll be fine :) see smiling.

Took E to see Post Man Pat at the theatre yesterday and she spent the first 20 mins screaming until i took her home again - oh joy!

Lost Touch

I lost touch with a real good friend about three years ago and what with one thing or another phone numbers got lost and e-mails just bounced back.

Yesterday as I was putting some old diaries away I came across another e-mail address so sent an e-mail yesterday and low and behold I get a telephone call back today :) Seems L had had her phone nicked with everyones numbers in and when she had gone back to South Africa had problems with internet on her return so we lost touch - even though we have always been great mates. Pleased so say she is still in this Country (London) so can't wait to catch up and have a real good natter.

:) Oh and E came home tonight :)

Helicopter Game

Ok competition is set looks like - R got 2204 - Now we know what you do all day!! ok mousy clicky finger to the ready the games are on :)

Comedy of Errors

So been out on my bike ha ha - I looked a plonker - not so bad top half as I just wore a ski under fleece but I could not find my track pants so ended up wearing some old half mast trousers (thinking not having to tuck them into socks to stop interferring with the chain! Thing is half masts not half mast anymore due to me losing some weight - I looked like that comedian who wears short trousers and dodgy wellies - so hitched them up and rolled them up - a bit better I think. Luckily i dont ever see anyone in witchy woods!

So route today was just through witchy woods to the end and back due to lack of practice on bike for a while but when did it bloody rain? I tell you what all they have to do to solve the water shortage down south is ring my trousers out from when I got home as the legs and bum (from spray i might add) would fill a mini resevoir - and i think i chose the route with the most puddles - all great fun though.

Not a great weekend...

As you can tell by the fact that it is before 8am and I'm not at work, don't have E for a week and I am up and about (since 6am!).

I've decided if you love somethings enough you have to let them go and if its right it will come back to you - hard decision and one I wish I didn't have to take but that is out of my hands.

With the above in mind I guess I'm gonna be the fitest person I know as I'm gonna go out on my bike for a morning burn - that or most sleep deprived and worried person you will know ha ha.

I am also meeting my mate C today for morning tea and enrolment at night class since she caught me yesterday feeling a bit down.
