Spooky Night1

Well another Halloween Bash and another good night had by all - the Mulled wine went down well again as did the pumpkin curry, chilli and party food - not to mention the numerous beers and bottles etc etc. All adults made a real good effort again - I went as a gothic(ish) woman this year (E said i was a pretty witch ha ha bless - and no I did not bribe her!)and left the cat ears in the box! E went as a pumpkin until she fell in the bobbin apples and then changed into a witch!
But all in all had a great time - Had a mate C and two kids visit on the Saturday which was mighty fun decorating cakes for the party then after all the kids went to bed we watched a horror movie on sky box office (The Boogyman)and laughed too much ha ha ahh well.
The above pic is of the barn after we had done it up :)

Feeling better....

loads better today - I think the being doped up on Lemsip Max Strength helped so headed off to Whitby with E amd Mum today to do a spot of christmas shopping, also to treat my mum to a nice lunch before heading off to The Lion at Blakey Ridge on the moors for a well earned evening meal. Real nice day, weather fab and loads of shopping done - can't be bad - the pics are of Mum and E at lunch and of the lovely sunset we caught whilst heading off to the pub for evening meal :)

Soooo... half term and Saturday I woke up with the worst sore throat ever :( The kids at school have obviously been bombarding my body with germs and they took hold as soon as I relaxed for half term lol. Soooooo although I was not due to have E this weekend D rang and said that he was dying (typical man flu) and could not take her so I ended up at home with flu and her with a cough (not that I mind - if I had my way I'd have her all the time but I am not ureasonable lol). Anyway the worst bit was another mate D was due to pop in on Sunday on route from Scotland to London (only hook up with this particular mate about once every 4 or 6 months if we get that far without a monster argument lol). Anyway D arrived and I doped myself up on lemsip flu max and enjoyed a couple of nice meals out and a trip to Scarborough Sea Life Centre with E (see photos) - last night however was a case of this is the code for sky box office do what you want I'm off to bed lol. All in all an enjoyable weekend even if I was under the weather.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Hmmm finally got to bed about 11pm last night then 12 midnight I was woken up by E crying - I got to her room just in time for her to be sick everywhere :( bless her she has a real bad cold and I think its that that made her ill - so anyway 2am in the morning I was washing bed clothes and E finally got off back to sleep at 3am (that was the last time I looked at the clock I didnt dare look anymore after that) - the alarm went off at 6.30am hmmmmmm 3 hours sleep and I was a zombie all day!
Tonight my deadline is in bed and lights out by 9pm! I need sleep!

Creative time again...
One I made earlier from last term in its rightful place on the side of a summer house :)

One I was asked to make for someone! - spooky but its actually a green man - keeper of all things dead in nature - ie trees, plants etc etc - green woman = birds, humans etc etc

Not a proper garden without a Fairy door surely!

So pottery started up again and I'm making the most of it this term as I think next term will have to be a miss to concentrate on Uni or I will be making myself ill and no time for home!
So here are some of my creations so far this term - enjoy - looks like a few of us are getting creative!

Weekend

Farm House

Rail road used to run along here to fill up with Iron ore

Chapel

Fun on the hay bails

Yummy biscuits
Pretty relaxed weekend this weekend just me and E which was great - R and S came round on Saturday for a few hours so we headed off to the park while R went to the gym and we also decorated some biscuits which me and E baked Sat morning, Sunday was generally shopping for party stuff for the 30th (yay), mowing lawn and going for a walk with E (who incidentally is being really loving at the moment - think she is making up for last week when she said something that really hurt me - I've not blogged about that bit but she said something earlier in the week which I know she is only a child and does not realise what she is saying but some things just cut deeper than the rest, I thought I handled it really well myself and since I was off out to night class at the time she did'nt actually see me cry as I saved that for when I was driving and nearly crashing my car! as it was she has been fine since just somethings are awkward I guess).
So anyway lovely weekend if not boring for all you blogger readers but some nice pics above for you all :)

Your Invited
Ok so the annual Halloween bash is on - Sunday the 30th October starting at 4.30pm for the kids and going on as long as its needs to for the adults ;) As usual we will have all the children/adult games (bobbing apples, couldron dip, might do a spooky pass the parcel this year, hanging apples, witches nose etc game)with killer mulled wine and might even do some warm spiced cider this year to add into the pot - once again it will be in the Spooky Barn! (gotta outdo last years party but it's going to be hard!)and fancy dress compulsory of course for kids and parents and other adults alike (no one gets away if you aint wearnig you aint coming in!). Food will most likely be chilli for the adults and spooky food for the kids (and no doubt adults too!)
If you fancy coming e-mail me - if you regretted not coming last year there are no excuses this year!
PS: Any ideas for a costume for me this year? E wants to go as a princess lol!
Oh My God!
Ok I am a glutton for punishment I know this - not only am I now working full time it looks like Uni is going to be Max so I can graduate and get on the GTP Programme next year - this term I am doing two year three modules: On-Line Business Systems, New Media Futures and my Final Year Project - my god I certainly will need some relaxing and fun nights so if anyone has any ideas please let me know!

Late Night!

Went round to C and K's last night - K was out at the pub so me and C had a girly night in, we played Anialate all humans on the PS2 which was sooooo funny (not one for the kids) then ended up watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show on DVD (think we did the Time Warp about 4+ time), Were obviously had consumed a large amount of wine by this stage and C ended up eating Phish Food (Ice Cream) at 1am in the morning (erm lets jsut say she was not well!
So today - back home feeling decidedly ropey so decided to head off into Guisborough for a mooch around since the weather was crap and I could not get out into the garden. I ended up in boots and decided to buy some highlights for my hair for a change (sometime I get real sick of completely dark brown and wash in wash out ones don't even touch the colour), so tonight popped to see R next door as S is away, had some tea and came back and did my hair - results above - I was kinda reserved with the colour as I've never used it before so what do you think? Do you think I should be more adventerous next time? Not sure if the colour is that good on the photo looks way more intense in natureal light!

Who am I? Where am I? What date is it?
Bloody hell - talk about busy - I think one main job (teaching), still working for the NHS (as much as my time will allow), Uni, Single mother status, night class started again and the rest - I think I'm losing touch with reality I seem to be going from one to the other in a blur at the moment - I actually found my car keys in the washing up bowl this morning!
Surely a good night out must be due soon? blow off some steam etc - any suggestions?
Oh and a stupid argument blown out of proportions with my mate D reagrding a tractor! as if I needed any more stress - all I'm going to say is D if you are reading this - its true what they say about Scottish people - you can be hot headed and bloody unreasonable so quit your moaning and accept for once that you are in the wrong - gulp ha ha ha ha ha ha

Lawn mower saga!
Ok so old lawn mower got nicked - got new one - which broke first time i used it - all I did was switch it from hare mode to turtle mode to see the difference and it stuck on turtle mode - for anyone who knows my land that is no bloody good at all - so after over a month of nagging the insurance they finally gave a new one and left the other new one with me also lol.
So plan it take the old new one to be mended and flog it and keep the new new one as it is way more powerful anyway :)
With that said and point of the story I mowed the jungle this weekend lol.
I actually worked my A*** off on Friday getting house work done in the evening so I could just spend some time with E over the weekend, so Saturday up bright and breezy making cakes lol (pink icing of course)then mowed lawn as mentioned, then sis arrived with kids so we went on a walk up to the mine so the kids could play on the hay bails. Sunday was up again relaxing morning, then E to a party and back home via a farmer market at Pinchinthorpe Hall for more fun in the afternoon. E is with her dad next weekend so plan to get some more stuff done in the garden before winter.
Had a discussion with R and S this weekend about a halloween party - looks like halloween might be busy anyway and bonfire I don't have E so we are looking at a spooks party the weekend after bonfire (12th October) so if anyone is interested let me know! Of course it will be fancy dress (compulsory for everyone) R will probably do her monster chilli and me my killer mulled wine which seems to go down well :)and of course the usual stupid games for adults and children alike! So those who did not make it last year and regretted it (you know who I mean) the invite is open :)and this year should be even better than last :)
