Relaxing

After handing in 4 assignments and after the exam tomorrow and finishing dissertation I'll be done.

And so I decided to relax today and went to Howards castle (Near Malton, York) with E and granny.

Never drinking again.....

Was the cry from S when he woke up this morning after being completely smashed at S's party last night lol - soooooooo funny and it escapes my reasoning mind to understand how I was so chipper this morning!

As it is this cry then turned from not ever drinking again to never drinking as much again lol.

All in all though great weekend and got in a visit to D, S, W, H and B to drop of W's birthday pressie which I did not get round to posting. They now have an offer on their house so looks like they will be heading for a new life in New Zealand soon - sad and happy at the same time. Sad cause they are off to NZ but happy cause I've always wanted to go there so what a better excuse???

So S on Plane - which incidentally puts down in approximately 3 mins - looking still a little peaky but at least keeping stuff down now lol!

Intellectual staffroom conversation...

As I was leaving school tonight I popped into the staff room with my usual cheery disposition (well it is home time) and in a cheery voice cried out to everyone who was in there

Bonjourno!

This is how the conversation went (in different languages but rough translation follows:

D = The hedghog is waiting at the train station (in German)
F = How are you to day (in German)
D = One ticket to Lisbon please (in German)
F = Goodbye my little peas (in French)

Ok so it was me (an IT teacher) and D (English) so you can't expect great things but that about sums up our end of school conversation - hmmmmmm yes we are teaching your kids (scary)!

For those who know me - it does take a slight nuclear bomb for me to apologise in public (mainly because I am hardly ever wrong hmmm hmmm lol) however I did miss a major event this Sunday - Yes R got yet another year older (funny I didn't realise that it was the same day as S!) anyway I feel suitably regretful that I did not even manage a message to say you are OLD! so humble apologies and one more time:

Laughing Tonight....

Did anyone see Top Gear tonight? They were given the task of making a people carrier a convertable and then testing it out in conditions such as 100 mph, zoo, car wash etc - I have never laughed so much at a TV programme for ages - classic Top Gear. Fiona Jones 2006/5 and 6

As you can see it was a good weekend lol - 2 whooops to report!

5: Jacuzzi - Cleaning the Jacuzzi today I had ran out of the dishwasher tablets you use to clean out the pipes - for anyone new to this if you don't clean out the pipes limescale gets on them and you end up with a smelly slimey bubble jacuzzi that smells something like a fart that is 10 days old (yes I've done that too - err not the fart but not cleaned the pipes that is) - so I found some hand wash flakes in the cupboard and thought they will do! So filled the bath - put in the flakes and turned it on. Went downstairs, did the hoovering etc - 10 mins later I went to turn the jacussi off - errrrrrrrr let just say the mound of bubbles was about the same height as me but at least my bathroom is now spick and span lol - when the hell did they get so intensly bubbly????

6: Having cleaned the bath I decided to dirty it lol hopped in did a nice body polish, shaved the old fuzzy bits etc etc and a lovely tea tree oil face mask - errrrrrrr missed altogether and positioned a nice big lump of it directly in my eye ouch - so now need to go pick up a spare pair of contact lenses from the optician after melting the other one with tea tree oil hmmmmm!

Better late than....

1st day of Nursery and yes I did cry :)

I found 3 films in the house when I was tidying out so I got them developed lol - they were from a year ago - E's 3rd birthday to be exact and her starting nursery and the winter last year so here's some pics for you to look at (don't ask how I forgot to get them developed!).

Long Weekend.....

Decided to stick around home due to E being home this weekend and common sense by both S and myself prevailing lol Damn that common sense lol. Anyway lucky I did cause I'd forgotton I'd agreed to take mum to a food and drinks festival at Leyburn which was really good. Also went to a working pottery and chocolate factory (as if we need any more after Easter!) but all in all a good weekend. Oh and a recommendation for the Three Tunns Bistro as Osmotherly for great food and lovely atmosphere.

So today S came round. Not seen her for a while so It was lovely again to catch up with her (still look upon her as my second mother even thoughI've not worked with her for about 9 ish years!), and took E to get some new trainer since her last ones lasted approximately 2 seconds! As usual she refrained from trying anything new and after bargaining and stamping feet and negotiation she got the same trainer as before (Dora the Explorer) - however be warned i will next time!

For the interest of those who want to know how I am getting on with Uni - have been doing about IDE's all weekend and night (Interactive Digital Environments) oh boy! G&T then bed before re-reading lecture notes and catching up on research - such an exciting lie I head you cry! Printer is now doing a mammoth print of about 90 pages!

Roll on next weekend but more so weekend after that ;)
