Setting the Record Straight...

Many thanks to my sister who has managed to spread mass hysteria through my mates who have tried to get in touch over the last couple of days as she has been in charge of the Mobile and talking to anyone who calls.

Just to let you know I am back home and ok so you can all stop worrying now lol - thanks M and C for the chocs and K and S for the emergency care of E - Very much appreciated.

So after a weekend of being really good in the sun slapping on the old factor 35 and browning off nicely I over did it today :(

I borrowed a mower from a pal due to mine still not replaced yet by the insurance company so today was time to tackle the jungle of a paddock!!!! And jungle it was - its funny how fast grass grows in this weather - not to mention the weeds along with it! I found a colony of pygmy type people hiding in there living a peter pan liftstyle and two long grass tigers! As it is it took me from 1pm till 4.30pm to complete the job and although I had sun lotion on obvioulsy there are some parts I missed so my lovely brown tan has now gone completely red with dodgy strap marks - the ddogy strap marks are because S is in America and R was at R and S's sports day so although I started off with a t-shirt on I ended up with trousers and bra on!!!! (so no one can see anyway and if anyone comes up the track I can see them before they see me - anyway who cares lol) E found it most amusing that mummy was in the garden in her undies! - my excuse is bra V bikini top - I for one do not see any difference.

Completely fed up - upset - feeling totally rejected and neglected - need I say any more. I know I do (and believe me I do) try to keep my personal feelings out of this blog, this week turning out to be quite a difficult week/year/life?? Sounds like some people are planning a good weekend anyway!

Suddenly decided this is a shit day :'(

The Secret Life of Fiona Jones

Well... Friday night I was very very very ill - being plied with drink by S and R at a lovely relax out in the sun and nearly didn't make it to Xscape.

As it is I did make it and am please to report I am nearly there with the boarding ;) - however took a massive tumble yesterday and have the bruise's to prove it - the thought crossed my mind briefly to post them to my blog but I didn't think anyone would thanks me for plastering my bum all over here! have to say no matter what anyone says falling of a surf board does not hurt as much!

Anyway met up with N, P and G and had a good night out with food and yet more drink -however substancially less than Friday and a call to see D, S and gang on the way home.

All that is left for now is zzzzzzzzzzz's due to serious lack this weekend.

Good Day?

Since my hair is getting a bit longer now after I have washed it and gone to bed with it wet I sometimes use hairspray to calm it down a bit - anyway - my hair smell beautiful this morning having used the deodarant in a sleepy state!!!

Get into work and everyone is off sick on the bussiest day of the week! early night tonight me thinks!

Life is like a bowl of cherries....

it the pips that stop you having a clean chew... (have I just made up a new saying??).

It seems J is not the only one with car trouble!!! I booked my car into the garage today as it makes a real dodgy sick (and no doubt expensive) noise when I depress the clutch. So anyway went to night class in it last night only to be told by one of my classmates that my front passenger side headlight was not working :( then on the way to taking the car to the garage today i stopped for petrol and could not get the petrol cap back on :( - felt like such a woman when I had to ask the bloke behind me to come and tell me what I was doing wrong - as it turns out nothing. So car in garage getting rattle looked at, headlight bulb done and looking at the lock on the fuel pipey thingy (bit where you put petrol that is)hmmmmmmm.

So anyway was given a little citroen (how do you spell that??)- an old one but gets me from A - B however being a typical woman been reving it all the way home as not used to the gears, pulled into the petrol station on the wrong side of fuel tank (same petrol station as before), crunched the gears in remarkable style whilst reversing to get to the right side of the petrol pump and the woman laughing at me in the petrol station saying "not having a good day are we".

Time to retreat back to bed for the rest of the day I think (I wish!!!).

Tip of the Day!

You know those funky new kettles which have different coloured lights - ie blue - cold, red - hot etc - well always remember to close the lid hmmm hmmm - they don't turn off automatically if you don't as I have just found out........ It must have been boiling for about 20 - 30 mins lol went from a full kettle to a cm in the bottom so just caught it in time - bonus though - the rest of the wall paper which needs stripped in the kitchen is now just dropping off!

Miss Independant

Has anyone ever hung doors by themselves???? I had to put new hinges on the door out the back leading to my outhouse storage area...I was trying to leave the door open as I have two nests in there (swallows or house martins or both!!!!) and the high winds bent the hinges so I had to buy new ones - and given the recent theft I thought it best to lock up now due to bike, chainsaw, and petrol strimmmer being in there!

Anyway I managed to get the door off with a little brute strngth thanks to S next door but I did fix the new hinges and hang the door myself whilst getting it aligned up with the lock :)

As for the rest of the weekend - talk about shocking weather but I have had two sets of visitors this weekend and a party to take Em too so all in all not much done in the garden as planned but hey - there is always next weekend and a day off during the week ;)

Oh by the way just a thank you to Ledbum - At work last week it was real boring and this is the website I can actually access at work (firewall and all - hence having mates in IT)so I tapped into your music supply to listen to a bit of music as I had forgotten cd's at work - cheers mate :)

Well got E back today from her dad's (been there since last friday). Its funny because people always say to me you must love having some time to yourself and you must get used to her going to her dad's - in reality I never get used to it I just have to put up with it. I think when you are a single parent and she goes away for a while its like having your left arm cut off and you kinda realise how much the little critter means to you even though she does know how to wind me up and get me round her little finger. The worst bit is when she comes home and insists on calling me her dad's new woman's name for the first hour - not her fault I know but you can imagine how it make me feel - I guess it just makes me realise that when you love something or someone enough anything is worth it for them even if they don't appreciate you at times and say an do things which really hurts you - anyone who knows me will undoubtedly recognise the sentimental and brutally honest side of me tonight - hmmmmm must be the time of the month again lol.

So anyway a weekend at home i think doing fun things - after all had a bit of a wild weekend last weekend, so just gonna hang about here and do some stuff in the garden etc and just relax - anyone want to join me feel free :)
