Continuous Wear Contact Lenses

To day i went and got my continuous wear contact lenses which are ones you wear for a month and sleep in them and everything and save the hassle of solutions.

First reaction is these are great. I've just put them in! With my old ones I could always feel them and was concious i had them in at times these ones went straight in without a flicker and I can't feel them at all. My vision seems fine.

The difference is the difference in material they are made out of, these let more oxygen penetrate the lenses and are therefore better for your eyes (apparently).

I have to go back next week to make sure they are not damaging my eyes in anyway but i'll keep you posted as to how i get on with them.

The real test will be sleeping in them for the first time lol hmmmm interesting.

Bridget Jones Take 2....

Well I well and truly cocked up Friday night. I had actually double booked myself with going to see H in a play and my mate D arriving from Ramsgate!!! However the play started at 7pm which I thought would end at 9pm giving me an hour to get back home to greet D arriving at 10pm - great plan - so I thought - so whan I was still still sat watching the play at 10pm I thought hmmmmm. The worse part was my phone was in my car and I'd got a lift to see the play so couldn't even ring. So when I finally got my phone back at 11pm I did all the necessary calls - D was hot headed as usual and was not pleased - my sister who had E was just worried - anyway sister was fine but D took a bit more convincing but after a bottle of wine (or two) things were ok just another late night (3.30am hmm).

Followed by a good day at Whitby then a top night out with some food and cinema - went to see Bridget Jones Diary - the edge of reason. I'm not gonna say what happens in it (until you haev all seen it and i don't want to spoil it)but once again a great film which is just as good as the first. It was funny because over dinner we were talking about my Bridget Jones Blog from previous and have to say that in this new film there are even more similarities which is a bit frightening - I will let you watch the film and then make your mind up which bits are like me but I will say I bought a new top yesterday and wore it that night which happened to be in the same style as one she was wearing in the film spooky.

Of course the other similarity which everyone knows but which i missed out of my previous blog is the surname doh!!!!

So i now have a bedroom with three kids lounging on the bed eating popcorn having a cinema session watching Shrek 2! what fun.

Yayyyyyy at long last

The work men are here as i type this sorting out the wall and radiator yayyyyyyyyyy - next for the floor!!!!! arranged the guy for a week this coming monday yayyyyyyyyy - may be done before christmas at this rate!

Decorating!

Boy have i been busy.

I'm finally cracking on with decorating the spare room - I think considering D is coming for a visit this weekend it was about time. All the wallpaper is now off with the exception of a piece a foot by a foot which i've not plucked up the courage to balance on my scaffolding for yet - maybe later tonight - wish me luck. I now know why the wall paper was on on the walls though - the perrils of living in an old house. It looked like someone had been at the walls with a machine gun soooo a bucket and a half of polyfilla later its sorted, just need the sander now and i can get on. Not all the walls were that bad and i have done a fair bit of undercoat painting so plodding on.

I'm finally getting the wall at the bottom of the stairs sorted and new radiator on Friday (how long has that taken) and then hopefully re-arrange the guy to come and do the floor since last weekend was a total shambles.

Also finally sorted out my new mobile today after 02 messing me around - I can actually order over the telephone and on line (this was after I got told I can't!! you figure that one out) so I got a real bargain on a Nokia 3220 (next one down from ledbums i think) but it was a great deal and at least it has a cam and video messaging which will be fun to play around with.

Had a great (but late) night with J the other night with webcam and music mix which was soooooooooo funny and so much fun although im still trying to catch up on sleep ha ha. By the way my porn star name is Monty Savige!!!!

Apart from that and receiving my rail tickets to Val woooo hoooo nothing much else been happening apart from my mum rang me tonight to say that the pumpkin curry I gave her is still yummy lol (yep she has a freezer full toooo).

Wooo Hooooo

Is it just me or have other people been having problems updating their blogs?

Anyway good news is ive booked my travel to Val D'isere wooo hooo. So J can now turn some of the yellow blocks red lol. I have also just been out and spent a bloody fortune on decent gloved and salopettes - along with a couple of tops which caught my eye lol (well i am a woman). Anyway nearly all set and geting so excited but nervous as i've never travelled by myself before!!!

Soooooo also tried to sort myself out with 30 day continuous wear contacts today (Specsavers do them for £15.50 a month) but its a real faff on so i cancelleld my account in Middlesbrough and will move it to Guisborough and sort it out there on Monday.

Also tried to sort out the upgrade to my mobile - no luck - for some reason O2 have cocked something up and they are being real pains so in the end I decided to leave it to them get back to me - I may even be forced to change provider if they don't stop messing me around soon.


So tonight im off out - althoguh i have to say its bloody cold here today so will have to wrap up warm.

Musical Fish

I was listening to some music tonight when i heard an annoying tick tick noise- i thought it was something wrong with the CD - it kept coming and going and it took me ages to work out what it was....

It was actually fish in his bowl moving the stones around!!!! How odd!

Update

Well still no purse but at least i got one card through the post this morning so i have money again yay - I also got annvite out for a Christmas do! with free booze, transport and food all for nothing! Of course it was through work but talking with G who invited me I can actually take whoever I want and a choice of dates to go all on a Friday or Saturday cool..... partyyyyyyyyyy.

Last night I was at pottery night class which was real good actually - I have some real nice mates there and we generally just have a laugh and make rude comments about what each is making, but I put my head down last night and made some items for pressies for Christmas so watch out you may be getting one!!!

Today i woke with a headache - one of those ones where you take a tablet and it takes the edge off and tnothing else so I hope I'm not coming down with something.

Had a surprise visit from M today who was supposed to turn up Monday - lol 2 days late is not that bad believe me. Anyway taht was fun to catch up even if I was supposed to be working but I can catch up woth some of that tonight. I actually have a full day in at hospital tomorrow so I may be breaking the record for the walky blog :)

I also got a realnice e-mail from A and G yesterday who are out in Australia - cool pics of the ballooning trip and happy 30th G!

Stress Levels arrrghhhh......

Attempted to do some Christmas shopping today with E and Granny in tow!!! Bad idea.

Started at Asda doing grocery shopping and picked up a pre packed tray of pomegranate, half way round the shop found E sucking on the French loaf (yes she had been fed) and then something caught my eye moving in my trolly, on closer inspection the pomegranate were moving with a rather curious looking spider hmmmm - a sealed pack = not good!I abandoned granny and E and went to customer services where the first woman screamed then legged it before replacing herself with a very young man who looked at me and said erm what should I do - I explained to him that since the fruit was pre packed and from a different country with a living spider in it I thought he should call health and safety - at this he went pale and said can you seal them in a carrier for me and just leave them there I aint touching them!!!!! hmmmmmm such customer care.

Anyway from there we went to Big W (Portrack Lane - what a waste of time got no shopping done as the shelves were bare - I'm so desperate to get E the Bob the Builder skiing thing with Bob and Wendy on Ski's but the store was pathetic and I really hope they are just re-stocking for the Christmas rush.

From there it was across to the Yorkshire Linen Co who Granny spotted had a sale on - got a nice cushion for the Sofa but E was moaning all the time by this stage as it was getting on and she was hungry (even after half a French loaf. So struggled home and as it was late I told granny I would buy fish and chips as a treat for tea -this is when I found my purse had gone missing! So Granny bought tea and I rang the shops. As yet said purse is still missing and I spent ages tonight canceling cards so anyone who text's me on my mobile you aint gonna get a reply until I have access to money again as I have no credit and no means of putting any on - at least for tonight...

Bridget Jones's Diary

I've just finished watching the above film and was startled to see some similarities as follows:

1 - I sat down with a glass of wine and a tube of smarties!!
2 - I have a way of putting my foot in mouth and saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.
3 - Every woman owns a pair of those knickers (and if they say they don't they are lying).
4 - I tend to say stupid things to guys I really really like.
5 - Im completely mad and ramble on when i get nervous (very nervous that is).
6 - I have had an incident with knickers! all be it not the big ones (wish they had been at the time).
7 - I do on occassion drink copious amounts of alcohol!
8 - I guess you could call this my diary!

Things I do not have in common (at the moment!)

1 - Never made blue soup - im actually quite a good cook.
2 - Never woken up with my knickers stuck to me.
3 - I don't smoke.
4 - Never shagged my boss.
5 - Never had two blokes have a brawl over me.
6 - My parents were (and always will be) lovely and my mum never left my dad to shag an orange!
7 - Not blonde hmmmm.
8 - I've never had the bloke I truly like declare he feels the same way for me - who knows huh!

Anyway whilst watching the movie i was also doing something at the same time which I am not going to admit on here at the moment (unless you ask nicely - but it seriously is sad), those who know me and may hazzard a guess will be shocked and stunned!

So as Bridget did when she was a spinster - I'm off to my cold bed :)

Is Cat saliva poisonus for fish?

I hope not as I just found Jazzy's favourite water hole - the fish bowl!!!! hmmmm.

Day started with a drama. About 7am there was a knock on the door (one of those knocks that makes you think oh heck hmmm) - so anyway struggled downstairs in my PJ's and there stands a man with a dog looking very flustered saying erm I think you need to ring the fire brigade????? Anyway it was only then i noticed flames and smoke behind him - the hay bails up by the old mine were on fire - I did my duty and 5 hours later the fire brigade left (got to say they got there bloody quick).

Apart from that quite a boring tidy up day and sorting out - E went for a lounge cinema afternoon with R and S (translastion: curtains closed and vid on in the lounge with popcorn) - i think thats her limit I would not think about the real thing just yet, but it gave me some peace and quiet for a short while.

Ah well another day ......

Fank God lol!!!

So busy today not stopped all bloody day - even was working tonight after sharing some music with J.

Got to say a huge thank you to D - your help was real good today even better on Monday lol and i hope you had a great night out. Oh and the other D I am not ignoring you! which i guess you'll be thinking by now!!!

As for me supposed to be getting my wall sorted tomorrow but the lovely reliable (not) workman has not called so ill be on the blower to hiM in the morning - anyway i dont care even if its not done im still having the floor done next weekend im sick of it - he'll just have to work round it.

Anyway E was a nightmare last night waking up at 1.30am (how dare she) lol so im now knackered and off to ebd adios amigos!!!! ttfn xxx

Black Pen....

Why can I never find one when I need one?

Its been a little while since i did a decent blog so i'm attempting to rectify the problem however have to admit nothing much is happening.

Finally my wall should be getting sorted this weekend and the weekend after I should be having the new floor boards laid in the kitchen (at least thats what i have planned and I've ordered all the materials today :) at long last). I am now trying to sorce some real nice stone flooring at a reasonable price which is not going to break the bank or thwart my plans for going away for a long weekend skiing in the new year.

Getting a wee bit confused on some issues which i really need to straighten out but have no idea how to do it so i guess i'll just wait until they rectify themselves in one way or another (if anyone understands what bit then please try to help me out lol - I doubt it tho).

I've been trying not to annoy too many people lately so I am just about ready to paint the attic room as I've been keeping myself busy by prizing the super glued wall paper off the walls - its one of those projects that you start and then think bloody hell what have i done - it will be cool when done nicely tho - how does calm, serene and opulant sound?

Thats about it for now.

I found out at the end of last week that the verticle beam in my attic room which has a metal pin thing through it is right in line with my left knee. Well now i have a matching bruise on my other knee and it BLOODY HURTS!

bonfire night

So party since 6pm!!! - a little tipsy lol excuse my blog. Had a good time - chilli bloody hot but good company - and even better view over the sea watching everyone elses fireworks after ours lol. Was a cool party got an invite through next door due to knowing the guy but he didnt have my number lol. Meant i could get a lift and drink tho lol - sorted.

only thing is got a guy latching on to me all night (23 year old snotty nosed lol) - he was ok but a bit clingy lol. Anyway not interested lol in HIM! If you get my drift lol

So back home about to go round next door for more of a party - cool!!!!
